RECRUITMENT OF POSTAL ASSISTANT / SORTING ASSISTANT
IN TAMILNADU POSTAL CIRCLE

Applications are invited from the eligible applicants for filling of vacancies of Postal Asssitants / Sorting Assistants.

Application Form is sold at a price of Rs.50 at all Head Post Offices and identified Post Offices in Tamilnadu Circle. The sale will commence from 11-08-2012 and close on 25-09-2012. There will be no sale of applications after 25-09-2012.

The filled-in applications should be sent to 'Direct Recruitment Cell, New Delhi HO, New Delhi 110001' through Speed Post or Registered Post of India Post only. The applications received through courier or delivered in person will not be accepted.

Last date for receipt of Applications by the Recruitment agency is fixed as 01-10-2012 and for those residing in Assam / Meghalaya / Arunachal Pradesh / Mizoram / Manipur / Nagaland / Tripura / Sikkim / Ladakh Division of J & K State, Lahaul & Spiti District of Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep will be 11-10-2012.

Additional information released on 31/08/2012 with reference to the above notification:

Applications can be downloaded from www.indiapost.gov.in from 03-09-2012 to 25-09-2012.

The applicants applying on the Application Form downloaded online has to pay:

(i) Rs. 50 (Rs. Fifty) towards Application cost and Rs.200 (Rs. Two hundred) towards examination fee. The fee for Application cost at Rs. 50 shall be paid by all the Candidates. For Examination fee, Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Women, Physically Handicapped candidates are exempted.

(ii) Accordingly, the Unclassified Receipt/ACG-67 receipt paid in any Post Office, for Rs.50 or Rs. 250 as the case may be, enclosed in original to the downloaded application form. The seven digit unique Registration number printed on downloaded Application form has to be noted on the back side of the fee receipt.
